Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a high-performance image processing system capable of processing up to terabytes of 3D images and raster images per day. Availability 24/7 • Implement algorithms and techniques to efficiently process and analyze images, including image segmentation, feature extraction, and object recognition • Develop tools and applications (back-end) to visualize and manipulate 3D images and point cloud data • Optimize processing speed and memory usage for maximum efficiency • Implement database management solutions to store and retrieve image data efficiently • Implement integration with embedded devices via gRPC protocol. • Collaborate with other team members, including microscope hardware engineers, to ensure seamless integration of the image processing system with the overall workflow. Requirements Technical Skills: • Extensive experience in C# programming language (.NET/.NET Core) • Strong understanding of performance optimization, image processing algorithms and techniques • Experience with raster image processing and manipulation • Familiarity with image file formats, including TIFF, JPEG, and PNG • Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing • Experience with SQL and large storage database management (MS SQL or PostgreSQL) Libraries Experience: • Familiarity with .NET libraries, such as ADO.NET, Entity Framework, or Dapper • Familiarity with gRPC protocol. • Nice to have: experience with image processing libraries, such as OpenCV, EmguCV, or ImageMagick. • Nice to have: experience with healthcare image processing in general, or Zeiss CZI in particular.
