American Sign Language (ASL) Language Interpreter - Independent Contractor Job Description: • Rates are negotiable* • Be fluent in both English and ASL • Be RID Certified, in process, or EIPA, NIC, NAD CI, CT or equivalent • Be prepared to have Livescan and Background Checks conducted • Be familiar with HIPPA and Cultural Sensitivity trainings • Adhere to CHIA Professional Code of Conduct standards • Be comfortable with the consecutive interpretation process (Simultaneous a plus) • Strong passion for interpreting and customer service. • Facilitate interpretation in a variety of subjects: in Medical, Business, and Education Settings • Be experienced with both face to face and remote interpreting.
