Position: Bilingual Arabic STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type: Contract Compensation: $38–$42/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 20+ hours/week Role Responsibilities • Write expert-level prompts in Arabic across specialized scientific topics. • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy , helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content. • Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations. • Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model safety . • Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure the responsible handling of dual-use information. Qualifications Must-Have • PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field. • Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and business-level written English . • Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques. • Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information. Preferred • Based in Saudi Arabia or the wider MENA region . • Expertise in radiochemistry , nuclear chemistry , or related fields. • Depth in specific subfields like organic synthesis , molecular biology , or genetics . • Experience with chemical safety , biosafety , or hazardous-materials handling . • Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
