Contractor Senior Test Automation Specialist - MEAN Environment - FULL REMOTE

Category: IT Services Location: Fort Colombo Sri Lanka We are urgently looking for a REMOTE Senior Test Automation Specialist with +5 years of test experience with complex web application platforms for an international organization in New York. Candidates must have hands-on experience working with Angular, Node.js, MongoDB in teams building large consumer-facing web applications from the ground up. Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long-term. This position is open for freelancers and employees. Candidates need to be able to work +5 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. (Example 9 AM NY time equals 7:30 PM.) Tasks and deliverables: • Work within an agile team to ensure the quality of complex MEAN applications; • Develop, modify, and execute functional test scripts and analyze bugs for systems in development; • Work closely with developers to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues proactively; • Create test automation frameworks from the ground up using Selenium WebDriver; • Automate API testing using Postman and similar tools; • Perform load testing using a variety of tools as per industry standards and suggest solutions for performance issues; • Perform penetration testing and another security-related testing as needed; • Record defect details and create reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve them and update the regression test framework; • Maintain knowledgebase documentation in SharePoint ; Profile: • Bachelor or Master degree; • +5 years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web application platforms; • Experience designing, developing, managing, and executing test cases, preferably using QA management tools; • Proven experience with test automation using Selenium and the ability to write scripts and perform API testing; • Experience with security testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and load testing; • Mobile application testing, browser compatibility, and accessibility testing experience; • Experience in identifying, analyzing, documenting, and reporting test results; • Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines; • Good interpersonal skills to work with developers in an agile environment; • Experience in MS Teams and SharePoint documentation is a plus; • Fluent in English; Offered: • A challenging role for an international organization in New York; • Attractive salary package; Interested: If you have the determination for a rewarding career, please send your CV to us via Details Originally posted on Himalayas
