Frontend Developer

Maxana is hiring a Frontend Developer on behalf of a fast-growing digital health platform in the U.S. You'll join their product engineering team as a full-time contractor, building the user-facing experiences that help members manage their health journey. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Latin America, working U.S.-overlapping hours. What you'll do: • Build and maintain responsive, high-quality web interfaces for a consumer health platform • Translate designs and product requirements into clean, performant, accessible UI • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers in an agile environment • Write reusable components and contribute to the team's shared component library • Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering bar • Debug, profile, and optimize frontend performance across devices and browsers Requirements • 3+ years of professional frontend development experience • Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript • Solid command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles • Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs • Familiarity with modern build tooling and Git-based workflows • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment • Strong written and spoken English (daily collaboration with a U.S.-based team) • Based in Latin America with reliable ability to work U.S.-overlapping hours Nice to have: • Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated consumer products • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) • Experience with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG) Benefits • $2,200 – $2,800 USD/month, paid reliably in USD • Fully remote, long-term contract engagement • Direct integration with a U.S. product team shipping quickly • Support from Maxana throughout your engagement Originally posted on Himalayas
