Role Title: Generalist — U.S. Tax Workflow Evaluation Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote micro1 is engaging Generalist — U.S. Tax Workflow Evaluations to participate in a short-term customer project focused on evaluating U.S. tax and financial workflows. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work • Carry out structured evaluation tasks by reviewing, annotating, and assessing U.S. tax filing workflows and related financial processes. • Follow detailed project instructions and apply defined rubrics to objectively evaluate workflow accuracy, completeness, and user experience. • Review and compare system-generated outputs to real-world tax documents and scenarios. • Connect personal financial accounts via secure Plaid login, as well as personal Gmail and Google Drive to facilitate workflow reviews and document sharing. • Share relevant tax-related documents for project purposes, with all downstream use occurring after PII has been sanitized. • Communicate findings clearly through both written and verbal feedback as required. • Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators and provide timely updates on deliverables. Preferred Qualifications • Currently residing in a mainland U.S. state and able to start immediately. • Demonstrated financial literacy and hands-on experience filing 2025 U.S. taxes, either independently or in consultation with a CPA/tax professional. • Comfortable connecting personal Gmail, Google Drive, and financial accounts for secure, project-specific use. • Proficient in reviewing and annotating documents, with attention to detail and consistency. • Experience applying structured evaluation criteria, rubrics, or participating in model or workflow assessments (e.g., data annotation, RLHF, quality review). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision. • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and ability to follow digital workflows.
