We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As the Legal Intern – Corporate and M&A, you will have a global overview from a legal standpoint of all aspects of Qonto's business, in particular related to corporate and M&A topics. You will join the Legal Team, under the supervision of Djesia, Head of Legal for Corporate, Governance and M&A, and will also work closely with other teams (finance, people, risk, regulatory, compliance, internal control, and strategic projects). ➡️ What you'll do Assist in day-to-day general corporate matters (including preparing meetings of the corporate bodies, i.e. shareholders' meetings, board meetings, etc.) Assist with employee equity schemes (BSPCE): drafting the legal and contractual documentation and monitoring periodic allocations Assist across all M&A activities, from the audit phase to closing operations, including drafting transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, investment agreements, and shareholders' agreements, as well as ancillary agreements Contribute to creating and improving internal processes related to Qonto's legal topics Carry out legal research on corporate matters and, more generally, support the daily activities of Qonto's legal team. ➡️ What we’re looking for Experience: prior internship or apprenticeship in an international law firm, bank, or fintech, with a focus and strong interest in Corporate and M&A issues Academic background: Master's student in Corporate/Business Law in France (a dual degree with a business school or Sciences Po, an LLM abroad, or being enrolled at a Bar School for a January start are all a plus) Communication and rigor: strong oral and written communication skills, a good sense of diplomacy, and well-honed organizational and analytical skills Mindset: curious, adaptable, proactive and reliable — you take ownership of what's assigned to you and know when to flag something up rather than sit on it; comfortable using AI tools day-to-day Languages: French and fluent English is required Starting date: January 2027 ➡️ What we can offer you Work in a fast-paced and scaling environment Work with diverse and inclusive teams Join an international company — our teams bring together colleagues from 80+ nationalities Access to digitalized legal tools to facilitate your work ➡️ Your future manager You'll work closely with Djesia, Head of Legal – Corporate/M&A. Djesia has spent 15+ years advising French and international clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, acting as lead counsel on M&A, LBO and strategic corporate matters at Dentons and Franklin Law Firm, including a secondment as M&A Senior Legal Counsel at TotalEnergies.
