Category: Manufacturing Location: For a potential project in operational and commercial due diligence of a manufacturer of mobile equipment, we're looking for project support. The focus is on evaluating international production sites, capacities and bottlenecks, productivity, manufacturing costs, make-or-buy decisions, working capital, investment needs, and manufacturing footprint, complemented by selected commercial questions on competitive positioning and market potential. The project would likely start within the next one to two weeks, with the engagement running for around seven weeks. Your Tasks • Evaluate international production sites, capacities, and bottlenecks • Analyze productivity, manufacturing costs, and make-or-buy decisions • Assess working capital and investment needs • Evaluate manufacturing footprint • Analyze selected commercial questions on competitive positioning and market potential • Potentially participate in site visits, including in the Czech Republic and Italy • Prepare findings in Excel and PowerPoint Requirements / Your Profile • Degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical field • Practical experience in an industrial company, a machinery or plant manufacturer, or a production-related environment • Good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. sheet metal processing, welding, painting, pre- and final assembly) • Experience with production KPIs, capacity and utilization analyses, lean manufacturing, make-or-buy, or working capital is a plus • Experience in commercial or operational due diligences, strategy projects, or industrial market analyses is a plus • Experience with plant visits or operational evaluation of production sites is a plus • Very good analytical skills and confident use of Excel and PowerPoint • Very good English skills, good German skills are a plus • Sufficient availability over the coming weeks Benefits • Start: within the next 1–2 weeks • Duration: approx. 7 weeks • Location: Remote, with travel (including Czech Republic and Italy) • Workload: Full-time (70–100%) • Hourly rate: 35+ Details Originally posted on Himalayas
