Job Description Required Certificates and Licenses: Virginia Middle School Teaching Certificate Residency Requirements: This position is remote and strongly prefers candidates that reside in Virginia ⢠May consider candidates that reside in surrounding states: Washington, DC and Maryland ⢠Must be able to attend in person PDs, testing, and other school events The Substitute Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on studentsâ individual needs. Teachersmonitorstudent progress through Stride K12âs learning management system. They actively work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance each studentâs learning toward established goals. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year to various school functions, such as state testing or as otherwise required by the school. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the positionâs level and expected contribution, and the employeeâs benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
