About Emptor Founded in 2016 and headquartered in New York, Emptor is a fully remote B2B SaaS startup. We are focused on solving trust and safety issues in Latin America by using big data. Emptor currently serves large multinational technology firms operating in the region by building tools for operational decision making on a large scale. We have opportunities in product, sales, finance, infrastructure, architecture, web scraping, NLP, ML and data science. Summary of Ops Analyst Ops Analysts extract and interpret data from Spanish-language legal databases and do research using Internet search engines. Analysts must also input data related to their queries and manipulate highly sensitive information on a daily basis. This position requires the ability to operate (process candidates) using Emptor ’s API accordingly. Location Latam - 8:00 AM UTC-5 to 8:00 PM UTC-5. Salary 1.000 USD. Required Domain/Technical Knowledge • Fluent in Spanish with an emphasis on reading comprehension • Proficiency in English • Portuguese (desirable but not required) • Desirable Intermediate Excel Skills • Experience working with databases and spreadsheets • Basic understanding of search engines • General understanding of the latam legal systems • Detail oriented and of quality assurance skills • Problem solving: able to detect and understand complex problems with data management as well as envision and implement solutions. • Organizational skills: Capable of distributing workflow amongst the team and himself in order to comply with deadlines/requests Skills • Attention to detail • Adaptability • Critical thinking and problem solving • Ownership and accountability • Communicative • Teamwork Work Experience • Previous experience as a Data Entry Associate • Preferred careers/experience as: • Law • Administrative Assistant Responsibilities & Functions • Processes BGCs for Ops Latam databases • Validates BGC from other team members • Answers questions about manual reviews, to other teams • Acts as an onboarding buddy for new team members, walking them through the various aspects pertaining to processing BGCs • Makes proposals to improve manual reviews • Attends team meetings and ceremonies • Ensure client data security Autonomy Level As a member of the Operations team (Latam), you report directly to your manager and you are expected to cooperate with other team members to achieve your team’s goals.
