Position: Bilingual French STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type: Contract Compensation: $58–$62/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities • Write expert-level prompts in French across specialized scientific topics. • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content. • Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations. • Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety . • Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure model outputs align with scientific standards. Qualifications Must-Have • PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field. • Native or near-native fluency in French and business-level written English . • Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield. • Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information. Preferred • Based in France or the wider Western Europe region. • Expertise in radiochemistry , nuclear chemistry , or related fields. • Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis or molecular biology . • Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling. • Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
