Production Assistant
Job Title: Production Assistant Reporting To: Production Manager Job Summary: The Production Assistant at Triquetra Health will ensure an efficient production execution to support our mission of delivering premium natural health products. This position coordinates with suppliers, manufacturers, and co-packers to maintain material availability, executes production runs aligned with demand forecasts, and oversees financial tracking for inventory and production activities. Duties & Responsibilities: Production Execution: • Determine the quantity of raw materials and packaging needed for upcoming production runs based on stock on hand, stock on order, and demand forecasts. • Execute production runs, ensuring timely availability of finished products. • Track inventory levels of raw materials and packaging to maintain accurate stock records. Purchase Order Management and Supplier Coordination: • Create, issue, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials and packaging, collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and co-packers to ensure material availability, timely delivery, and efficient production flow. • Create, issue, and manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) based on sales forecasts and production planning for a 6- to 12-month timeframe. Monitor BPO utilization, maintain current commitments, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure sufficient inventory levels, continuous material availability, and prevention of stock-outs. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes. Process & Cost Optimization: • Streamline processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Financial Tracking: • Track invoices and ensure timely financial processing for all production activities. Compliance & Regulatory Support: • Support and contribute to compliance projects, ensuring adherence to • regulatory standards and internal policies. Additional Support: • Perform any additional tasks as required by management to support smooth operations. Must-Have Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of experience in the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing industry. • Experience creating, issuing, and managing Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials and packaging components. • Experience managing supplier relationships and coordinating material deliveries to support production schedules. • Experience creating, maintaining, and tracking Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) to ensure continuous material availability and prevent stock-outs. • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Proficiency in Google Sheets. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify supply chain risks and escalate issues proactively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with suppliers, manufacturers, co- packers, and internal departments. • High attention to detail and accuracy in purchasing, inventory management (raw materials & packaging), and financial tracking. • Experience tracking invoices and supporting timely financial processing. • Ability to create, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Requirements • Prior experience in production coordination, supply chain, or inventory management is a plus • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in tracking inventory, POs, and financial records • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel; experience with inventory or ERP tools is a plus • Comfortable creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, co-packers, and internal teams • Basic understanding of compliance and regulatory processes in production or manufacturing • Problem-solver with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements • Must be willing to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time • Must be amenable to using a time-tracking tool during work hours Salary: $1,000 - $1,500 Originally posted on Himalayas
