QA Engineer (Manual, Web Platform)

StellarTech is an international, fast-growing product IT company that builds and publishes subscription-based mobile apps in EdTech. Our Platform team builds the company's own platform: web funnels, payments, subscriptions and integrations with third-party services. It's the core that all our products run on. We're looking for a QA Engineer to join a team of manual QA engineers. You'll own the quality of Platform functionality in a startup rhythm with short iterations and frequent releases. QA is also where other teams (Monetization, Finance, Product Tech) come first when something looks wrong. So we need a mature specialist who finds the root cause, communicates clearly and helps improve how we work, not someone who only runs test cases. What you'll do • Test new features end to end during development: frontend, backend, APIs and third-party integrations • Run regression testing before releases and smoke testing on production after each release • Validate business and technical requirements with Product and Engineering before development starts • Investigate defects with logs, API responses and network traffic, and write clear, reproducible bug reports • Be the first line for requests from Monetization, Finance and Product Tech: reproduce the issue, assess severity and escalate with facts • Maintain test documentation in TestRail, Jira and Confluence • Work with the Automation QA team to decide which cases to automate Must-have • 4+ years of manual QA of web applications (frontend, backend, API) • Risk-based test design: you can explain what you test, what you don't, and why • API testing with Postman / Charles and Swagger / OpenAPI • Root cause investigation with Chrome DevTools (HAR, network, storage) and logs • Hands-on with the full release cycle: feature, regression and production smoke testing • You use AI tools (Claude, Cursor or similar) in your daily QA work and critically check what they produce • Experience in a product company or startup with frequent releases • Written English good enough for documentation and bug reports • Ownership and transparent communication: you flag risks and delays early Nice to have • Payments and subscriptions testing (Chargebee, Adapty, Payrails, trials, taxes, Apple Pay / Google Pay) • Web funnels and A/B experiments • Analytics event validation (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, GTM dataLayer) • Datadog / Grafana • Testing AI-powered features • Basic Playwright / TypeScript Why join us • You'll work on a platform that decides how fast a subscription business can grow • AI-first company: AI is being built into the company's work centrally, well beyond generating test cases • No micromanagement, high engineering standards, fully remote Hiring process: Recruiter screening → Technical interview with the Hiring Manager and a QA engineer →Final interview.
