Reading Specialist with Degree in Education

Job Description: We are seeking an energetic and passionate Online Reading Specialist to join our team and help children succeed in reading! Using a structured Science of Reading-based curriculum that is fun and easy to teach, you will provide engaging, effective, and individualized lessons to students through 25-minute Zoom sessions. Your role will be to build confidence in young readers, foster a love for reading, and ensure measurable progress. Responsibilities: • Teach students (K-8) using a fun, effective, and easy-to-teach online curriculum • Create a fun, engaging, and encouraging learning environment • Maintain regular communication with parents to update them on student performance • Foster strong relationships with students to ensure their confidence and enthusiasm for reading • Provide assessments and track student progress regularly Requirements: • Degree in elementary education and/or reading intervention • Familiarity with Science of Reading principles • Ability to connect with and engage children in a virtual setting • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Must be energetic, positive, and patient Schedule: • Initially, you must be available Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM Central Time and 4 PM to 8 PM Central Time to make it easy to fill your schedule. Once you have 20 hours worth of students, you will have more flexibility (according to your students' availability). • It will take several weeks to fill your schedule, so your hours will take time to build up. • You will hired as a 1099 independent contractor.
