Solution Architect

Job Description – Solution Architect Contract | Remote | UK Public Sector Project OVERViEW We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support the delivery of a UK Public Sector project. The role will focus on assessing existing systems, defining target architecture, and recommending scalable technology solutions across a mixed technology estate, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, legacy, and bespoke systems. Key Responsibilities • Assess current systems and define solution recommendations • Design end-to-end solution architecture aligned to business and technical requirements • Produce HLDs, architecture options, and technical recommendations • Evaluate build vs buy vs extend approaches • Ensure alignment to security, scalability, and performance standards • Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams • Provide architecture governance and support across delivery Mandatory Requirements • Proven experience as a Solution Architect on complex programmes • Strong experience across enterprise, legacy, and cloud-based environments • Knowledge of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 • Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Experience producing architecture documentation and solution designs Desirable • Financial systems or lending platform experience • UK Public Sector experience • Agile delivery environment experience Soft Skills • Pragmatic and outcome-focused • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Comfortable working in evolving environments • Collaborative and confident communicator Contract Details Contract Type: Freelance / Contract - Outside IR35 Location: Remote Sector: UK Public Sector Start Date: ASAP Clearance: BPSS / Eligibility to work with UK Government departments Salary: Competitive Salary Originally posted on Himalayas
