Technical Recruiter – Ethiopia Location: Ethiopia (Remote) Type: Contract / Hourly Compensation: $7/hour About the Role We are looking for a Technical Recruiter based in Ethiopia to help us identify and recruit talented software developers. This role focuses on sourcing and identifying qualified developer candidates across Ethiopia. You will help build a strong pipeline of engineering talent by posting jobs, proactively reaching out to candidates, and leveraging your local network. This is an hourly contract role with flexible hours , ideal for someone with experience recruiting developers or working within the Ethiopian tech ecosystem. Responsibilities • Source qualified software developer candidates in Ethiopia • Post job listings on relevant Ethiopian job boards and communities • Conduct direct outreach to candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms • Leverage personal networks and existing candidate pools • Identify strong developer talent and introduce them to our hiring team • Maintain an organized pipeline of candidates • Coordinate with the hiring team to refine candidate criteria Requirements • Experience recruiting or sourcing developers in Ethiopia • Strong familiarity with the Ethiopian tech talent market • Experience using platforms such as LinkedIn, local job boards, or tech communities • Ability to identify qualified engineering candidates • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and manage your own time Nice to Have • Existing network of software engineers in Ethiopia • Experience recruiting for remote tech teams • Experience sourcing candidates through developer communities Compensation This is an hourly contract position. • Hourly rate: $9 per hour • Hours are flexible • Payment is made weekly based on hours worked Requirements • Experience recruiting or sourcing developers in Ethiopia • Strong familiarity with the Ethiopian tech talent market • Experience using platforms such as LinkedIn, local job boards, or tech communities • Ability to identify qualified engineering candidates • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and manage your own time Originally posted on Himalayas
